In the words of Zane Lowe…”There is a desire for rock kids to dance and dance kids to rock”. That is why Zane the champion of new music chose Wrongdezvous for this exclusive Liverpool show on his Home Taping Tour. Joining Zane will be the legendary Howard Marks aka Mr Nice. During the mid 1980s, Howard Marks had forty-three aliases, eighty-nine phone lines, and twenty five companies trading throughout the world. At the height of his career, he was smuggling consignments of up to thirty tons of cannabis from Pakistan and Thailand to America and Canada and had contact with organisations as diverse as the CIA, MI6, the IRA, and the Mafia. Now he can add Wrongdezvous to that list.

Also on this special night we have the rapper they tried to ban…Akira the Don, if you are not on this yet, imagine a Welsh Eminem and you are halfway there, he even has a track called Liverpool, which is ace. Shakes will be performing live. In their words…“We are a guitar band that just uses the best bits of electronic music.” Shakes join the Klaxons, Hot Chip, Justice, Simian and MSTRKRFT at the front of the dancefloor revolution. Also in this room we have Cajuan straight outta Berlin on his Raven Tour. Liverpool’s best record label will also be representing. Deltasonic who brought us The Zutons, The Coral and The Dead 60’s, now bring us The Little Flames and The Suzukis who will be performing live.

Misadventures in HiFi originally intended the third room to be a ”chicks with tunes/ girls on decks” theme as we invite Chicagos lady of house Miss Honey Dijon, Derrick Carter’s female friend DJ Alena, and the infamous Charlie Chester’s wife Jo Mills to join the Wrongdezvous resident Alexis Wasikowski (after a temporary sex change) to the Wrong revolution. At the last hour Onionz, from “Onionz & Joeski” fame, got in touch desperate to play too. At present it is unconfirmed if he will be playing in a dress.

The theme this month is right vs wrong… which one are you? Providing the wrongness will be Bestival favourites Lost & Found bringing in light rope skipping, hat scrabble, excuse notes for work on Monday, plus rolling workshops with Howard Marks as well as plenty of surprises. Representing the right will be the Karma Army, a 40 strong troupe committed to acts of kindness all night!

room 3 is the best room in the house in my opinion. Aztec had Matthew Dear & Troy Pierce in there last month. Its the 200 capacity space were the cloak room is. We transform it into one hell of a space. I'll try and post some pictures up. Dear & Troy Pierce loved it.

Room 2 is definitely the most interesting. Cajuan, on a similar tip to Digitalism, has produced some beastly tunes. Shakes are absolutely rocking too. Praised by the likes of NME, DJ mag, XFM and Time Out they are at the forefront of the new rave sound. Check them both out at:

Don't know if it was because I was not firing on all cylinders last night but I could've sworn that only 2 rooms were open, Jo Mills & Onionz werent there and that it was £14 to get in.

Really enjoyed the previous Wrongdezvous but to me this one was a bit of a let down. Sorry peeps.

2 bands and 2 dj's dropped out, and were replaced by one dj.

Zane lowe played one of the best sets ive ever seen. I can see him being remembered as the next john peel, only not, he's done so much for music and knows how to work cdj's better than anyone else.

Alex played a really good set, but the second he finished and zane came on downstairs the room totally cleared, and for the next hour there were maybe 30 people, tops in that room. Didnt get much busier after that either.
